Elyse Howard is the Development Director of Habitat for Humanity Vail Valley. She holds a B.A. in History from the University of Pennsylvania and a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from Duke University. With 18 years of experience in affordable housing she oversees Habitat Vail Valley’s fundraising, communications and ReStore teams. Elyse has a passion for community outreach and advocacy and is honored to work towards creating affordable homeownership opportunities for Colorado’s critical work force. Elyse sits on the Eagle County Housing Task Force, and Habitat for Humanity of Colorado’s Board of Directors. Elyse grew up outside of Washington D.C. and originally moved to Vail for one season. Twenty-three years since that original ski season she is grateful to be raising her family in such a special community. Elyse and her husband Taggart have two (constantly growing) sons who they are always chasing up and down mountains – on skis, on bikes and by foot.
