The West is one of the fastest growing regions in the country, and its had major impacts on housing.
To put it simply, the Rocky Mountain Region is not building enough housing to meet the growing population.
Housing supply was outpacing the population from 1970-1980. However, by the late 90s and early 2000s the population has surpassed housing built causing a stress in the market.
This stress in the market causes a scarcity of housing and is one of many causes to price escalation in our region, creating unattainable housing.
Community Builders helps communities every day understand and combat this challenge, but it’s not easy! How is your community working to mitigate housing challenges?
