Rachel Woolworth

Project Associate

Rachel is passionate about helping rural communities build authentic and resilient futures. Rooted by her experiences living and working in small towns across the American West, she understands the challenges facing rural communities on both a personal and professional level. Rachel is fascinated by the intersection of data, personal narratives, and the policymaking process, and is a believer in the power of storytelling to impact change. Prior to her work with CB, Rachel served as the editor-in-chief of the Leadville Herald Democrat and as a research analyst for Colorado Municipal League.

Rachel lives in Alamosa with her dog Pippin. Outside of work, you can find her exploring the mountains with her splitboard or running shoes, growing food at Rio Grande Farm Park, or whipping up sourdough treats for her cottage baking business. Rachel holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and English Literature from Tulane University and a master’s degree in Public Administration from University of Colorado Denver.
