Joe comes to Community Builders with a passion for operational excellence. Throughout his work in the nonprofit sector, he has found his niche in building and maintaining the systems and structures that are essential to sustaining high-impact work. Having focused primarily on community and school based work and facilitation for most of his career, Joe was drawn to Community Builders’ mission and model of change, working shoulder to shoulder with communities. As our Senior Director of Operations, he leads many logistical areas of the organization, from budgeting and accounting to HR and IT systems.
Joe lives in New Castle, Colorado. Outside of work, Joe often spends his time reading, trail running, studying foreign languages, and backpacking. He holds a bachelor’s degree in linguistics, comparative cultures, and Russian from Brandeis University and a master’s in education from Southern Methodist University.
