Throughout the last year and a half, Community Builders collaborated with Leadville local Adam Ducharme to capture the story behind the One Community Project – an initiative to create a joint comprehensive plan for the City of Leadville and Lake County.
The result is a short film that captures what this project is really about: the long, winding process of building civic capacity. From uncovering common ground to exploring the tradeoffs that shape local decision-making, the film shows how the One Community Project helped transform Leadville and Lake County into a community better equipped to navigate the next hard conversation.
Though adoption of the One Community Plan has been delayed due to the Willow Fire, we hope to have the Plan adopted in fall 2026. Stay tuned!
