Steven Garcia-Machuca is an emerging public health and policy professional with a passion for community engagement and health equity. He is committed to advancing public health through data-driven policies and grassroots initiatives. Steven’s experience includes improving diabetes care in underserved communities, conducting social vulnerability research in Latin America, and coordinating events at the Aspen Institute.

Born and raised in the Roaring Fork Valley, Steven now lives in Carbondale, Colorado. He holds a degree in History & Science with Global Health and Health Policy from Harvard College. In his free time, he enjoys exploring the outdoors, playing tennis, and dancing. Steven plans to pursue graduate studies in public health and urban planning.
